Becoming a "Warrior": The Music Video

Watch the music video for my single, “Warrior” below or on YouTube:

The song “Warrior” is a cinematic experience all on its own, and I imagined a music video along the same lines that would tell a captivating story.

What seemed like a chance encounter on a spur-of-the-moment New Years Eve flight turned out to be the missing piece to my vision for the “Warrior” music video.

I had always wanted to use a black and red color scheme for a music video (I even had a Pinterest board I had been building on for some time), but meeting a person who seemed to perfectly embody the archetype of a warrior was the thing that brought it all together.

He had an interesting tattoo down his arm that was black and red. When it caught my eye, I asked him what the significance was, and he explained:

“One is a symbol of power and one is a symbol of love. You can’t have one without the other. They’re supported by each other.”

His description hit home with what “Warrior” meant to me. Once I got back to LA, it became clear that this video simply had to be made this way. From there, the vision became clearer.
